What is the project about?<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

One of the biggest difficulties I have faced as a SENDCO is clear and specific strategies that are helpful and follow the graduated response. I wanted to develop something quick, functional and helpful. It also needed to be a system that didn’t save information. This is a tool in the moment, a snapshot of learning – the tracking aspect is up to schools to decide for themselves. It also means that I didn’t need to have a robust server, databases, etc… which means I can offer these tools for free at this current time.<\/p>

I started working on building a template for observations that could work on a tablet device and allow for simple observations to be made. It then needed to create a report that matched our Graduated Response framework. I needed it to be focused on the student and the needs in the setting, rather than using diagnostic language.<\/p>

I also needed to have a life beyond the White Paper, which means this is not about levels of support, diagnoses or whether an EHCP would be needed or not. This is only about classroom support and what we can do in school to help our students.<\/p>

But families also need support, so some of the tools are designed with that in mind.<\/p>

This is all in development. I didn’t know what to call it, so Toolkit was the language I settled on.\u00a0<\/p>

This is experimental, and your feedback is essential to improving this platform. I am not currently charging for these as they are under development. As costs rise due to website traffic, this may need to be changed.
